With a mission to serve sick children and their families, and this building houses Children’s Health System’s teaching, research and outreach programs. The building is a multi-functional facility, engaging children and professionals alike.

 

The building’s character strives to be playful and inviting, with warmth and interest to balance the seriousness of its functions. Using modular brick, the designers created a subtle pattern of interlocking color blocks, reminiscent of a patchwork quilt which speaks to the new building’s modern palette of copper and glass, while respecting the existing brick hospital across the street.
