CHILDREN’S HEALTH SYSTEM CHAPEL
Among the highly technical and medically-sensitive spaces within Children’s Hospital, Giattina Aycock Architecture Studio has also worked to create softer, more tactile spaces which cater to the psychological needs of families of sick children. One such space is a small chapel, carved out of the interior of the main hospital building. With no access to daylight, the architects designed a softly curved space with strategic lighting and a tranquil material palette to create an oasis of comfort and inspiration. |
